Hey everyone! I’ve mysteriously reappeared after going MIA for the last few months. I’m not going to lie, I missed blogging soo much. During my time off though, I’ve experienced so many new things and have grown so much as a person.
First, I’ve had my first solo traveling experience abroad. It taught me a lot about the world around me and that I, myself, am definitely somebody who seeks thrill and adventure, such as from traveling. I feel so free when I go head-first into new experiences. This summer I travelled alone abroad, but it truly reminded me of the joy and excitement I had from last summer when I lived alone in Boston during my internship.
Second, I’ve started my first healthcare job at a hospital! It’s been a REAL learning curve since it’s so different than a nursing home. However, I get to see and learn new things everyday while I meet like-minded students who also have a passion in healthcare. With new experiences everyday and the comfort of having a new community, I’ve come to love my summer job.
Lastly, I’ve picked up a lot more responsibility in my extracurriculars, such as my club at University. I’ve been exploring the organization more and have been communicating with important people (another community I truly connect with) on a level I’ve never gotten the chance to before. I love the mission of my club, so I feel– again– excited to step up as a new leader with a mission and purpose.
To answer the prompt, I realized that anything that aligns me with others and with self-growth are my favorite activities. It doesn’t always have to be a major life moment– such as a new job or travel. It can be things as simple as reading a book, discovering a new song, or driving to a new place and blasting music. I lose track of time when I’m exploring, organizing, and providing. I lose track of time when I’m completely hooked by learning something new.
Till next time!
Moesha.
